Rev Likes Games

I feel like I'm finally back in shape to make episodes regularly, and so this one I just had to throw it all out there.  Let's talk about other drivers, animals on the road, and dumb decisions that ruin a game (or movie, or book) series for you.I had a lot to get off my chest - and most of it was the kind of goofy stream of consciousness shit you'd hear if you were trapped in an elevator with me - but it usually has some kind of point, and today that point was mostly animals.

Nearly 3 decades ago a friend and I went to buy an album in the big city.  What could possibly go wrong?

It's true, I love Golden Axe.  The game.  Although I've never had an actual golden axe.  I can only assume that I would love that as well.  I'll put it on my gift registry at Target.

Inspired by a binge watch of the first season of Initial D with my youngest I decided to play through some of the Initial D games and then bless you with my thoughts.  Screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!  (that's the sound that happens when you drift)

Some games are beautiful.  Nice graphics, innovative gameplay, tight controls... 1942 has all of that.  It also has "music" that makes you want to throw your ears in a bonfire.

In the year 1996 there was only one game that could hold the title of 12th most popular arcade game in Japan for the month of March - and that game was Neo Turf Masters.  Buckle up and let's talk turf!

I hanker for a hunk of podcasting!  My normal podcast recording environment has changed, which means I have to make some adjustments. In this episode I try to record while driving to work and talk about games, life, and that weird cartoon song convincing everyone to eat cheese...
